Meudon Hotel Gardens

At the end of April I enjoyed a wonderful couple of days at Hotel Meudon, near Falmouth in Cornwall. The hotel enjoys stunning sub tropical gardens which are spectacular in springtime. Meudon garden is a subtropical paradise with a specific microclimate allowing growth of a stunning array of giant flora on the Cornish coast.

Hotel Meudon was once home to the famous Fox family. Their passion for exotic gardens led them to create the valley paradise at Meudon Gardens. The Fox family also owned nearby Glendurgan & Trebah gardens.

Camelia’s & tree ferns lining the many pathways that weave through the gardens.

Springtime in the Meudon garden with rhododendron’s, camellias, wild garlic & bluebells lining the pathways.

Rhododenron flowers in the spring morning sunshine.

Banks of wild garlic & giant tree ferns.

Gunnera Path- with the gunnera’s just starting to grow for the new season ahead. The leaves can grow up to 2 metres wide in Summer.

Pathways filled with petals.

The garden enjoys seating areas on the pathways through the gardens, for you to sit and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Banks filled with bluebells & wild garlic.

It felt like a magical paradise wandering through the gardens at Hotel Meudon which take you down to Bream Cove & the South West coast path.

Looking up to the hotel from the gardens.

I loved all the pathways through the gardens.

Beautiful tree ferns.

Wild cherry blossom.

Thanks so much to all the team at Hotel Meudon that made out stay so special xx
